بيان التركيب لتوسکان :
تحتوي كل 5 مللي على :
جوايفينزين 50 مجم
ايفيد رين هيدروكلورايد 7.5 مجم
دايفنهيدرامين هيدروكلورايد 5 مجم
دکستروميثورفان (على هيئة هيدروبرومايد) 4.56 مجم
مواد السواغ :
حمض السيتريك ، صوديوم بنزوات ، سكروز ، صانست أصفر ، نكهة الخوخ ، صودیوم سکارین ، نكهة كراميل ، صودیوم هیدروکساید ،
ماء مقطر.
خواص توسکان :
يمكن تحمل توسكان بسهولة و يعمل كطارد للبلغم و مهدئ للسعال ، يحتوي المستحضر على جوايفينزين، ايفيدرين، دايفنهيدرامين ، دکستروميثورفان هیدروبروماید . تزيد مادة الجوايفينزين من افرازات الجهاز التنفسي و بذلك تقل لزوجتها وتجعل طردها أسهل و المعروف أن تراكم البلغم و عدم طرده يساعد في نمو البكتيريا و يسبب ارتخاء الشعيبات الهوائية المتقاصة كما يزيل احتقان الأنف. الدايفنهيدرامين مضاد للهيستامين له تأثير مسكن مرکزي وهو مكون عام في المستحضرات المستعملة لعلاج نزلات البرد و السعال. أما دکستروميثورفان فهو مثبط للسعال ذو فعل مركزي كما أنه لا يوقف الكحة تماما و إنما يعمل كمهدئ دون تأثير على خاصية الجوايفنزين الطاردة للبلغم و بذلك فإن توسكان يوفر مجالا متكاملا في علاج السعال و طرد البلغم و علاج الانقباض الشعبي في الالتهابات الرئوية كما أنه مفيد في التحكم في نوبات السعال المنهكة.
دواعي استعمال توسکان :
الالتهاب الشعبي الحاد و المزمن . الالتهاب الشعبي الرئوي . السعال المصاحب لنزلات البرد .
الجرعة وطريقة استعمال توسکان :
. ما لم يوصف الطبيب جرعات أخرى ، تكون الجرعات كالتالي:
الأطفال أكبر من 6 سنوات : نصف ملعقة صغيرة 3-4 مرات يوميا .
الكبار: ۱-۲ ملعقة صغيرة 3-4 مرات يوميا .
تفاعلات دواء توسکان مع الأدوية الأخري :
مثبطات الجهاز العصبي المركزي و الكحول : قد تزيد من حالة التهدئة مثبطات انزيم اوكسيديز احادي الأمين : قد تسبب ارتفاع شديد في ضغط الدم ولذلك يجب عدم استعمالها معا مثبطات ضغط الدم المرتفع : قد يخفض توسكان من تأثيراتها
الاحتياطات :
يجب أخذ الحيطة والحذر عند استعمال توسكان في الحالات الاتية: المرضى من كبار السن ارتفاع ضغط الدم وفرط إفراز الغدة الدرقية . الحالات العصبية ، مرضى السكر و حالات تضخم البروستاتا .
الحمل والرضاعة مع دواء توسکان :يجب استعمال توسكان بحذر أثناء الحمل وينصح بعدم استعماله أثناء فترة الرضاعة .
موانع استعمال دواء توسکان :فرط الحساسية للمستحضر أو للأدوية المحاكيات للسمبثاوي . المرضى المصابين بخلل في ايض البروفيريا . المرضى الذين يتعاطون مثبطات انزيم اوكسيد از احادي الامين أو خلال أسبوعين من التوقف عن التعاطي .
الأطفال أقل من 6 سنوات .
الأعراض الجانبية لدواء توسکان :تتضمن الأعراض الجانبية الخمول و التسكين و الصداع .
العبوة:عبوة من الكرتون تحتوي على عبوة ۱۰۰ مللي ونشرة. التخزين: يحفظ في درجة حرارة لا تتجاوز ۳۰ درجة مئوية.
ارشادات خاصة :ان هذا الدواء مستحضر يؤثر على صحتك و استهلاکه خلافا للتعليمات يعرضك للخطر. اتبع بدقة وصفة الطبيب و طريقة الاستعمال المنصوص عليها و تعليمات الصيدلاني الذي صرفها لك . الطبيب والصيدلاني هما الخبيران بالدواء ونفعه وضرره . لا تقطع مدة العلاج من تلقاء نفسك . لا تكرر صرف الدواء بدون وصفة طبية . لا تترك الأدوية في متناول أيدي الأطفال.

COMPANY NAME : Hikma pharma TRADE NAME : Tusskan GENERIC NAME: Guaiphensin, Ephedrine hydrochloride, Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride, Dextromethorphan (as Hydrobromide)
COMPOSITION: Each 5 ml contains: Guaiphenesin
50 mg Ephedrine hydrochloride
7.5 mg Diphenhydramine hydrochloride
5 mg Dextromethorphane (as hydrobromide) 4.56 mg Excipients: Citric acid monohydrate, Sodium benzoate, Sucrose, Sunset yellow, Peach flavor, Sodium saccharine, Caramel cream flavor, Sodium hydroxide, Purified water. PROPERTIES: Tusskan is a well-tolerated balanced formula acting as expectorant and cough sedative.It contains guaiphenesin, ephedrine hydrochloride,diphenhydramine hydrochloride and dextromethorphane hydrobromide. Guaiphensin increases production of respiratory tract fluids to help liquefy and reduce viscosity of tenacious sputum.It thins respiratory secretions for easier removal.If sputum is not removed, it may support growth of bacteria and make breathing more difficult.Ephedrine is a sympathomimetic with direct and indirect effects on adrenergic receptors.lt causes bronchodilation thus relieving bronchospasm and nasal congestion.Diphenhydramine is a sedatingantihistamine with antiemetic properties.It is used for the symptomatic relief of allergic conditions including rhinitis. It has pronounced central sedative properties and is a common ingredient of compound preprations for symptomatic treatment of coughs and common cold.Dextromethorphane is a cough suppressant used for the relief of non productive cough; it has a central action on the cough centre in the medulla. Dextromethorphane in the small dose provided in tusskan does not completely suppress the cough but calms it without influencing the expectorant property of Guaiphenesin.Consequently,Tusskan provides a full range of therapeutic action against the cough, promoting tracheobronchial secretion,relieving bronchospasm in asthmatic bronchitis, besides being helpful to control distressing cough
INDICATIONS: Acute and chronic bronchitis Asthmatic bronchitis Cough associated with common cold
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Unless prescribed by the physician the dose as follows: Children more than 6 years: half teaspoonful 3-4 times daily Adults: 1-2 teaspoonfuls 3-4 times daily
DRUG INTERACTING: CNS depressants and alcohol: May increase sedation MAO inhibitors: May cause severe hypertension. Do not use together Antihypertensive: Tusskan may decrease their effects
PRCAUTIONS: Tusskan should be used with cautions in Elderly patients Hypertension and Hyperthyroidism Nervous or excitable states,diabetes or prostatic hyperplasia
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: Tusskan should be used catiously during pregnancy and it is not recommended during lactation
CONTRAINDICATINS: Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients and other sympathomimetic drugs
Porphyria Patients taking monoamine oxidase inihibitors(MAOIs,certain drugs prescriped for depression, Psychiatric, or emotional conditions or Parkinsons disease) or within 2 weeks of stopping MAOls Severe coronary artery disease or cardiovascular disease Children under 6 years old
SIDE EFFECTS: The side effects may include drowsiness, sedation, and the headache
STORAGE Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°c
